Many of our clients have asked about whether a COVID-19 Liability Waiver is necessary as they begin reopening their businesses. There are a lot of mixed beliefs, from lawyers, on the need or propriety of having such a waiver. Even if not legally required, it may still make sense.
Given the novelty of this virus and the high contagion rates, it makes sense to protect oneself. Similarly, our small business owners need to protect themselves as they reopen. One such way is by having patrons, customers, clients, sign a COVID-19 Liability Waiver form.
To help serve our business clients and general public, we’ve created a sample COVID-19 Liability Waiver form, for your use.
We hope this helps you as you begin opening your businesses and serving our communities. We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication as small business owners!
Note: this form is for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. You should consult your business attorney. Your use or review of this document in no way creates an attorney/client relationship. If you are a current client of Welch Law LLC, this waiver is not legal advice and you should contact us if you have any questions and prior to using the form.
